Recycling Solutions for AEM Electrolyzers
Based on DONGSHENG's years of experience in recycling industrial precious metals scrap, AEM electrolyzers used for seawater electrolysis generally have four types of materials that can be recycled:
1. The black titanium anode material used to improve corrosion resistance and catalytic activity.
2. The platinum catalyst used in high-performance AEM electrolyzers.
3. Conductive connection parts containing precious metals like silver and gold.
4. Nickel-plated anti-sticking plates used to improve ion conductivity and mechanical strength.
Seawater is the most abundant resource globally, and AEM electrolyzers are the main type for making hydrogen energy from seawater at lower cost and high efficiency. Therefore, the above four types of industrial scrap from AEM electrolyzers will definitely be key parts of industrial scrap metal recycling in the future. Due to technical limitations, DONGSHENG currently mainly recycles the black titanium anodes and platinum catalyst.
