Rhodium catalysts are widely used in three-way catalytic converters, but in the rhodium catalyst recycling market, three-way catalysts are not welcomed by rhodium catalyst recyclers. Because the content of rhodium catalyst in the three-way catalytic converter is very low, it does not have a high recovery value.
1, Rhodium catalysts in chemical production:
Rhodium catalyst is the core catalyst for methanol carbonylation to produce acetic acid. This process has high efficiency and is currently the mainstream technology for acetic acid production worldwide.
In the hydrogenation reaction, rhodium catalyst replaces cobalt catalyst with its excellent activity, and its reaction conditions are milder.
In fine chemicals and pharmaceuticals, rhodium catalysts are often used to selectively hydrogenate aromatic compounds such as benzene and pyridine into saturated cycloalkanes.
2, In the process of nitric acid production by ammonia oxidation, rhodium catalyst improves the strength, heat resistance, and catalyst efficiency of platinum mesh, making ammonia more efficiently oxidized to nitric oxide.
